Keko-How We Do
This girl has gotta be the illest female emcee in the East African region right now.
She goes by the name Keko and what I understand about shorty is that she poses six feet tall and hails from an Eastern Ugandan tribe called Japadhola.
Her musical inspirations are Lauren Hill plus you can feel a lil' Tupac and Jay-Z vibe somewhere in there.
One to watch out for...

Navio-Raw
Dude here needs little introduction into the East African music scene never the less international scene. Some may argue that his music hasn't reached the international level, but clearly there's something that separates him from the rest of the "African hip-hop" scene.
The lingo, accent, vocab, content....whatever it is dude does him. I mentioned his name among a couple white suburban broads in small town mid-west America the other day and one was particularly keen to hear and mention his name professing that she has heard of dude and his work too.
That's when you know the reach is real!
10 years give or take in the Ugandan/East African hip-hop game and several awards to his name plus a couple of international projects including one with R. Kelly...here's Navio with the groundbreaking 'Raw', second single off his sophomore album 'African Hustler Music'.
